Case Study · DilworthDriveway, Restored
Concrete cleaning for a 1970s brick ranch — two decades of oil spots, red-clay staining, and leaf tannins, gone in a single morning.
The challenge
This Dilworth driveway had never been professionally cleaned. Years of parking in the same spots had baked oil drips and tire marks into the concrete, Charlotte’s red clay had stained the edges, and oak tannins had left dark drifts across the apron. The homeowner was considering a costly resurfacing quote — we suggested trying a deep clean first.
Our approach
We degreased every oil spot individually and gave rust and clay stains a dedicated dwell treatment before the main wash. Then we ran the rotary surface cleaner edge to edge — including the apron and the walkway to the front door — so there were no wand lines or half-clean borders. A final joint and edge rinse cleared the runoff line, and we were off the property before lunch.
The outcome
The concrete came up nearly uniform — oil spots lifted to faint shadows, clay staining gone, and the original light-gray tone back across the whole pad. The homeowner cancelled the resurfacing quote and booked a house wash for the following month.
- Oil, clay, and tannin staining removed in one visit
- Even, streak-free finish with no wand marks
- Walkway and apron included so the approach matches
