Gutter Cleaning & BrighteningClear Gutters Outside as Clean as Your Siding
Inside-out clearing plus exterior brightening that erases tiger striping — the black streaks a ladder-and-bucket job leaves behind.
What gutter service includes
Most gutter “cleanings” scoop the inside and ignore the outside — leaving tiger striping, the vertical black stains from roof runoff that make freshly washed siding look unfinished. We do both faces: hand-clearing and flushing the inside, downspouts included, then brightening the exterior with an oxidation-removing treatment and soft rinse so your gutters match the rest of the house.
We bag all debris, test every downspout for flow, re-secure minor loose hangers on the spot, and photograph problem areas — separated seams, pulling spikes, standing water — so you know exactly what your gutters need next.
- Inside clearing & downspout flush
Leaves, shingle grit, and nests removed; every spout flow-tested.
- Exterior tiger-stripe brightening
Oxidation treatment erases black runoff stains from gutter faces.
- Hanger check & minor re-securing
Loose hangers tightened on the spot at no extra charge.
- Photo report of problem spots
Separated seams and drainage issues documented, not upsold.
How the visit goes
Most homes take one to two hours. Ladder work is all on us — you don’t need to be home. We work around gutter guards (and will tell you honestly if yours are failing), and all debris leaves with us in bags, not scattered on your beds.
Gutter service questions
That’s tiger striping — electrostatic bonding of roof runoff, asphalt oils, and dirt to the aluminum. It doesn’t rinse off with water alone, which is why most gutter cleanings leave it. Our brightening treatment breaks that bond chemically and rinses it away.
Guards keep out big leaves, but shingle grit and pine pollen still get through and downspouts still clog. Exterior brightening applies regardless. We’ll inspect your guards and flag any that are lifting or failing.
Twice a year for most homes — late spring after pollen and oak tassels, and late fall after the leaves drop. Homes under pines may need a third visit. Brightening typically lasts 2–3 years.
